Paper Presentation     Latest Publications

Instructions for Oral Presentations:

Each oral presentation is allocated 20 minutes (15 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of questions). We will be strictly adhering to the 20 minute schedule and your session chairs will notify you when your time is about complete. Presentations will start at their scheduled times in order for conference attendees to attend those talks they wish to hear. The conference will be providing LCD projectors and machines for presenters. You are also welcome to bring your own laptop. In case you decide to use the conference machine for presentation, please bring a copy of your slides on a USB key or CD. Our machines are Windows-based machines and will be able to run MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Adobe Reader compatible presentations.

Instructions for Poster Presentations:

Each poster presentation on Monday and Tuesday will be allocated approximately 42"x42" space to put up their posters. The conference will be supplying cork boards and pushpin tacks for presenters to mount their presentations. Each board is roughly 45"x91" and will be shared by two presenters. We have allocated time in the schedule for poster presenters to setup their presentations before the scheduled Monday and Tuesday sessions. We ask that Monday presenters to take down their posters Monday evening since the Tuesday presenters will be using the same boards.

Paper Formatting Style--Create or check your PDF by IEEE eXpress

SMC2007 has registered for use of a new IEEE tool: IEEE PDF eXpress™

The new IEEE Xplore® Requirements for PDF will be enforced as of 2005. All conference articles submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore must adhere to the IEEE Xplore PDF specification for compatibility.

IEEE PDF eXpress is a free service to IEEE conferences, allowing their authors to make IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs (Conversion function) or to check PDFs that authors have made themselves for IEEE Xplore compatibility (PDF Check function).

Steps for Final Paper Submission:

Step 1: Prepare Final Paper Manuscript

1.    Create your manuscript(s). (Click here to download the pre-formatted Microsoft Word template and model paper; here to download the LaTex template.)

2.    Do not take chances: Proofread and check layout of manuscript (it is highly recommended that you do this BEFORE going to IEEE PDF eXpress.)

3.    Go to IEEE PDF eXpress. Create IEEE PDF eXpress account (Your IEEE PDF eXpress account and paper ID DO NOT relate to your account and paper ID on the paper submission system of SMC2007.)

4.    Upload source file(s) for Conversion; and/or PDF(s) for Checking

5.    Use IEEE PDF eXpress to attain IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF(s). The site contains extensive instructions, resources, helpful hints, and access to technical support.

Step 2:  Copyright Transfer

Transfer the copyright of your contributed or invited paper.   Select the paper and click on the link. You may transfer the copyright electronically. The copyright transfer must be completed before you may submit the final version of your paper.

Step 3. Conference Registration

All attendees must register for the conference. Please click here   for the detailed registration information. We prefer on-line payment with a credit card using our e-banking process. Online gaming and online poker rely on Data Mining & Management, Human Machine Interaction and Systems and Intelligent Communications Systems amoing others. As such this year's sponsor is the pokerstars marketing code. Pokerstars is one of the most sophisticated ecommerce site specialized in gaming using a technology able to accomodate more than 10,000 players in one single tournament.

Please note that all accepted oral and poster presentation papers (with at least one author registration) will be published in the proceedings and all manuscripts published in SMC 2007 will appear in IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI and INSPEC.
